1. How would you name the school? What would be its mascot? Explain your choices. * B.E High School. I chose B.E High School because it has relevance to the topic and it tells a lot in itself. The mascot could be something to do with a man that has maybe some kind of armor on. Or something that has to do with Byzantines. Something that has somewhat of relevance to the school’s name. 2. Why do you think symbols like a name or mascot are so important to the people of the city? * I think they are very important. Especially for the students, for rivalry purposes with other schools. And to show that it’s not only just a school name, but it actually means something that was a big part of history and will be with us for a long time. 3. Why would it be important to the students?
* Again, it’s for rivalry purposes between other schools. If the name and mascot look and sound fierce, then it can put the students at ease. 4. What are two goals you could recommend the new principal to consider when opening up the new school? * Put the name of the school and the mascot to good purposes. Don’t just let the name and mascot be just a name and mascot. Make it mean more to the students, to the teachers, to people outside of the school, to the parents, to everyone and especially to you. 5. Identify two challenges that principal may have in achieving those goals? * Making the mascot come alive, that is going to be a challenger.
